不醉不歸 Bangkok ‘ 14

Went to bangkok over the weekend to pre-celebrate sophia’s birthday! really short trip cos half of us arrive at night on the 1st day. As you can see from the title, literally on both nights at least one of us will go back drunk lol! but it was all good fun =)

Day 1- club @ DEMO

Big group of 9 but only 3 girls!

Shot with the  birthday girl. Props to soap for putting the whole trip together despite it being her bdae celebration!

(Drunktard face)

Mainly just played drinking games because thai clubs don’t really have a dancefloor? But the game-then-drink is one kind of hiong? 1 and a half bottle and some of the boys got high-ed lol

NIght ended with us sending a dead drunk yw back to the hotel and impromptu 7-11 supper. Oh btw we booked Budacco Hotel and it quite strategically located! Like just behind Pratunum market next to Baiyoke Hotel. Alley nearby has loads of streetfood also and like 3 7-11 nearby, easy to get tuktuk/cab so super convenient. Good service and comfy room so i’d probably stay there again next time i go bkk ^^

Day 2- Jartujak market, Union Mall, club @ WIP

I dunno how the rest manage to wake up for hotel bfast but xm and i overslept so bad they had to knock on our door to wake us up >< rush rush rush then off to the weekend market!

Mandatory tuktuk ride (check out my center parting lol!) Honestly i quite like bangkok if not for their horrible air quality! Face feels gross at the end of the day T^T. Anyway not much pic with others cos the market is too big already so it’s best to go your separate ways if u wanna cover more ground.

Super cute pups, kittens and bunnies!!! too bad singapore can’t bring back else i’ll nab a bunny or guinea pig /:

Awesome beef noodles! Omg seeing this makes me crave for the cheap and awesome food in bkk! Especially the roadside crispy fried chicken wings!! *slurps*

Mind you the place was super sunny and hot , skin hurts from walking in the sun! but love the popsicles and the coconut ice cream! the auntie was super nice lik she gave us free toppings of nuts n sticky rice and a cup of coconut water too!

Headed to union mall after that! it’s the new plantinum cos prices are comparable to jartujak and its much more organized so shopping is a breeze!

Anyway just curious, anybody are like hardcore bargainers when they travel? Honestly i find some singaporean tourist appalling. Like its ok to bargain but be a bit more reasonable? and some are really rude to the shop owners! in taiwan and bkk alike! lik look it’s not easy for them to earn a living, especially in bkk. So if u really like the item but they can’t give u the price u wan, either graciously accept the given price or politely refuse and leave the shop. If u’re so-so with the item, i don’t even know why u bother haggling the price so much then leaving rudely when u don’t get ur dream price, like wasting other people’s time can. zzz

Anyway~ here’s my total loot from both shopping area. On a massive bra spree as u can see lol! maybe spent bout $150 all in all? including a few pieces and a pair of shoes not seen here. Headed back to the hotel after to prep for the night! Dinner-ed at T&K seafood at chinatown. Not really fantastic, like i had better at a roadside stall before

Only pic we have as a group because we’re always separated, esp steven and daniel lol

Headed to WIP after. It seemed a bit messed up that area but the club has great music and the crowd has a better vibe there than the one we went the night before. Beside that there’s shisha too. SO music high + shisha high, u dunnid to drink much to get high haha

Soap got xm and i tequila shots and it was the worse most horrible thing i’ve ever tasted! made me paranoid because recently there was this article where a couple bought gin from a liqour store in indo but it is really methanol inside and the girl woke up blind and eventually died. SUper sad and scary!!! b ut since im typing this now obviously im fine =)

Day 3- Siam, Home

Generally it was quite peaceful when we were there. Nothing much except road closures. but because of road blocks, there were more street stalls! like the stretch of road outside siam paragon all the way to mbk were stalls! so i guess that worked for us =X

Heavily vandalised police headquaters. Just hope peace will restore soon in bkk.

Had massage too and thai massage is the best! like they really get to the knots in your shoulder. my masseur had to use so much strenght, i felt bad and gave her 100 bhat tips.

Bought these from Kino at siam paragon. apparantly books are rly cheap there, like half the price of sg o.O

That’s all for bkk! can’t wait to go again! maybe this time w SCO girls! it’ll be crazy!

Also considering the amount of shopping i did in tw and bkk, i think i have enough clothes to last me through 15 days of CNY!
